Setting a Reminder Date

When moving a patient to the Waiting For stage, set a reminder date to tell the system when to automatically follow up.

What the reminder date does

On the reminder date, the system automatically:

  1. Moves the patient from Waiting For back to Pending Calls
  2. Creates a new open task for the patient in the Pending Calls stage

This means the patient will reappear in your team's task list on that date without anyone needing to remember to do it manually.

Note: The reminder date automation runs overnight. Patients will move to Pending Calls on the morning of the selected date.

When to use a reminder date

Set a reminder date when:

  • The patient asked to be contacted on a specific date
  • You need to follow up after a waiting period
  • The patient is unavailable until a known date

How to set a reminder date

  1. Move a patient to the Waiting For stage.
  2. A dialog will appear — use the date picker to select the follow-up date.
  3. Click Confirm & Move to confirm.

The patient moves to Waiting For immediately. On the selected date, they will move back to Pending Calls automatically and a new task will appear in the task list.
