Moving a Patient

When a patient's situation changes — they've booked an appointment, agreed to follow up, or you've been unable to reach them — move them to the appropriate stage.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Pipelines and open the relevant pipeline.
  2. Find the patient in their current stage column.
  3. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) on the patient card.
  4. Click Move to, then select the target stage.
  5. If moving to the Waiting For stage, a dialog will ask you to set a reminder date.

What happens when you move a patient

When a patient moves to a new stage, the system automatically:

  1. Completes all existing open tasks for that patient — they move to Completed status and no longer appear in the Open task list.
  2. Triggers workflow automation for the new stage — this may create a new task or send an automated message.
  3. Moves the patient to the new stage column immediately.

Warning: Moving a patient to a new stage will automatically complete all of their open tasks. If those tasks still need action in the new stage, a new task will be created automatically by the workflow.

Tip: If you're moving a patient to Pending Calls, a new follow-up task will be created for them automatically. You don't need to create one manually.
